Worrell, Glenda Ogle

Glenda Ogle Worrell, age 86, of Peterstown, West Virginia, passed away on May 28, 2024, at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, Virginia. Born May 27, 1938, in Austinville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Herman and Bernice Thomas Ogle.

Glenda was a graduate of Peterstown High School. Throughout her life she was a member of Peterstown United Methodist Church, often singing in the choir and leading the worship committee in decorating the sanctuary and fellowship hall for every season and special occasion. She had a green thumb and especially enjoyed teaching school groups and children in her care about her wildflower garden and all things related to nature and God’s creation. She devoted her life and inexhaustible energy to her family, to her church, and to anything and anyone in the community in need of her special TLC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Worrell; sisters Gail Robinson, Carol Lilly, Pam Turner and Beverly Harvey; brother Gene Ogle; brothers-in-law Robert Mason Lilly, Donald Worrell, William Worrell, and Buddy Worrell; and sister-in-law Ruth Prosser.
