Perdue, Randall Lowell
Randall Lowell Perdue, 80 of Narrows, Virginia departed this life May 15, 2024 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born July 15, 1943 in Willowton, WV he was a son of the late Irvin Perdue and Thelma Jones Perdue.
Randall was known as a man whose hands could as skillfully nurture a garden as they could build the structures that became the backdrop of many lives. His journey in life was marked by a steadfast dedication to his trade. A carpenter by profession, he spent many years in the construction industry, where his skill and work ethic were as solid as the buildings he helped erect. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity, someone who brought not just his talent, but his heart to every project. Beyond the construction sites, Randall was a man of the outdoors. His passion for nature was evident in his love for hunting—whether pursuing the clever fox, the stealthy coon, or the swift rabbit, he did so with a respect for the natural world that was as deep as the roots of the trees he so loved to wander amongst. His garden was his sanctuary, a place where he cultivated beauty and shared the bounty with neighbors and friends, an extension of his generous spirit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Perdue.
Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his wife, Bobby Joyce Dalton Perdue; daughters, Rhonda Sevy (Darrell), and Linda Chinault; step-sons, Anthony Spicer (Tina), and Rodney Spicer; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren; brother, Grant Perdue; sisters, Barbara Weatherly, and Oneeda Perdue; sisters and brothers in-law, Geneva Shrader, Margie Wolf, Phyllis Rhodes (Charles), Linda Bradley (Roy), Sue Robertson, and Melvin Dalton; special friends, Ricky and Libby Conley; and many nieces and nephews.
