Groseclose, Ruth Ellen
Ruth Ellen Groseclose, 74, of Pearisburg, VA, peacefully passed away Friday May 3rd, 2024, after a brief illness. Ruth was born in Bluefield, WV on May 3rd, 1950, and was a daughter of the late Edgar Brown Groseclose and Mildred “Mickey” Alice Eads Groseclose.
Ruth was a 1968 graduate of Giles High School. She later began a career in aviation. She worked as a flight attendant and pursued a pilots license. She was known for her love of the sky and travel.
Ruth, in addition to her successful career in aviation, was an avid lover of all things nature and animals; caring for even the smallest of beings. She spent countless hours caring for the birds and chipmunks in her back yard, taking care of her beloved pets, and taking note of every beautiful plant and flower she saw.
She loved her friends and family with an unmatched passion, taking time each day to care for everyone and make them feel special. Each moment with her was a loving and extraordinary experience. All who were lucky enough to feel her love will miss her forever.
