Tabor, Jr., Alfred Jackson

Alfred (Jack) Jackson Tabor, Jr., age 83, of Aberdeen, NC and formerly of Pulaski, died Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. Joseph of the Pines Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen, NC. He was born on May 17, 1940 in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Mintoria Smith Tabor and the late Alfred Jackson Tabor, Sr.

Jack was a veteran, having served in the United States Army, and retired after 24 years, was a Deputy Sheriff for Pulaski County, and also retired from being a deputy, and after retirement, he worked at the New River Valley Regional Jail in Dublin. He was a member of the Henry Clay Lodge # 280 A.F.&A.M. and was very active in the New River Valley Shrine Club, especially in the Characters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy Chrisley Tabor of Aberdeen, NC: sisters-in-law; Brenda Rockwell, and Linda Chrisley: nephew; Jerald (Rocky) Rockwell: niece; Rhonda Woodell and Mark: great-nephew; Christopher Woodell: great niece; Logan Maness and Clark: great-great niece; Ginny Maness. Also survived by two special friends: Clyde Atkins and Houston Roberts.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home in Pulaski, with Pastor Bobby Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper, VA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
