Slate, Juanita Eanes

Juanita Eanes Slate, born September 28, 1926 gained her heavenly wings and regained perfect sight in the arms of our savior on November 25, 2023. She was reunited for eternity with her beloved husband, David W. Slate, brother Floyd Eanes, daughter, Sandra Stowers, and grandson JJ Stowers.

Left to honor Juanita’s memory is her daughter Debbie (Dennis) Taylor, granddaughters Aimee (Scott) Burroughs and Sherry (David) Draper.

Great grandchildren are Jordan (Victoria) Reed, Jackie and Kami Taylor, Ryan Burroughs, Troy, Rosie, and Devin Draper, Sophia, Noelle and Hollie Mae. Great Grandchildren are Eliza, Taylor, AJ, Skylynn, Luca and Kade and soon to be Ivy Grace.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, from six o’clock until eight O’clock in the evening at the Newbern Church of God located at 5271 Wilderness Road in Dublin Virginia.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 29 beginning at eleven o’clock in the morning at the Newbern Church of God with Pastor David Cruff officiating. Interment will follow at the Thornspring United Methodist Church Cemetery.
