Ayers, Ralph Douglas

Ralph Douglas Ayers, 70 departed this life on November 11, 2023 in the care of Lewis Gale Hospital-Pulaski. Ralph was born to the family of Albert and Mary Ayers on January 10, 1953 in Pulaski, Virginia.

Ralph proudly delivered mail as a truck driver for the US Postal Service, insuring many a letter from family or friends got to their destination with care. Ralph was dedicated to keeping watch over his family and was meticulous in his care. He proved this as he would work on vehicles. With each turn, he allowed his family to travel safely to their destination. He was also meticulous and methodical in keeping his yard maintained.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Ayers; and a brother, Bobby Ayers.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his wife, Drema Robbins Ayers; sons, Robert Douglas Ayers of Grayson County, and Joseph Ralph Ayers of Grayson County; step-daughters, Tammy Riddle, Teresa Turpin, and Tina Chandler; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Allen Ayers of Indiana, and Cecil Ayers of Fries, VA; and sisters, Vicky Ayers of Grayson County, and Diane Ayers of Rural Retreat, VA.
