Boothe, Larry Wayne

Larry Wayne Boothe, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his home in Narrows, VA. Born July 30, 1963, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of Shelby Wickline Boothe of Ballard, WV, and the late Elder James H. “Jimmy” Boothe.

Larry was a member and deacon of the Dry Pond Primitive Baptist Church in Ballard, WV, worked at Celanese for the past 39 years, and enjoyed going to car shows. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Robert Boothe. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Marcia Nowlin Boothe; one daughter, Amanda Spicer and husband Justin of Narrows, VA; two granddaughters, Addison and Kinsley Spicer; one brother, Mike Boothe and wife Leigh Anne of Ballard, WV; one sister, Sheila Hanshew and husband Shawn of Beaver, WV; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Elder Joe Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Dry Pond Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ballard, WV. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
