Meador, Benny Edwin

Benny Edwin Meador, age 81, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Carrington Place in Daleville, VA. Born December 27, 1941, in Summers County, WV, he was the son of the late Philip and Frances Bradberry Meador. Benny was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a graduate of the 1960 class of Peterstown High School and worked at Celanese in Narrows, VA, until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Wayne Meador. Survivors include his brother, Gary Meador and wife Sharon of Pembroke, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery in Nimitz, WV, with Barry Harper officiating. Those wishing to attend the services can meet at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, no later than 1:00PM, or at the cemetery.
