Pitts, Jane
Jane Pitts of Christiansburg, VA finished her fine fight for life on October 28, 2023. Jane was born July 2, 1936, in Blue Springs, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil Anderson Pitts and Obie Berline Pitts.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Lynn Reeder (husband John R. McKown Jr.) of Fredericksburg, VA and Onah Joy Reeder of Christiansburg, VA; granddaughter Katherine Jayne McKown-Hernandez (husband Adam Hernandez), great grandchildren Maryah Jane Hernandez and Adam Zane Hernandez of Crestline, CA; sister Sylvia Turner of Conroe, TX; many nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends and spiritual family.
Jane was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 6, 1962, and remained a faithful servant of her loving creator and friend, Jehovah God for over 60 years. She was a woman of faith, wisdom, grace, and wit. Her death leaves a hole in our heart, but we know she is safe in the memory of her Heavenly Father, Jehovah. We are confident she will soon be resurrected to a beautiful, restored, paradise earth where she will live forever in perfect health as her God originally purposed for the human family.
A special thank you to Tina Steph, Abagail Duncan, Denise Jones, Tammy Kast and the nurses and aides of Medi Hospice who helped care for mom.
