WHITE, Dana Ray
Dana Ray (Danny) White, of Draper, Virginia, was taken away from his family on February 13, 2006 at the age of 46. Dana was known by friends and family as Danny. He was a loving husband to Donna for 27 years. A devoted father to Erika White and D.J. White, these were Danny’s greatest gifts.
He passed before both parents, Frank and Peggy White and grandmother, Alta Sullivan. He was their first-born, always leading the way for his younger Bro and Sis, Dereck White and Georgette Lawson.
A friend and helping hand to his in-laws: Shannon White, Timothy Lawson, Timothy Jones and wife, Lynn and Earl and Darlene Jones. As well as mother-in-law, Nancy Jones.
He loved to hold and cuddle his nieces and nephews, when they were younger. Nieces, Sondra Jones, Stacy Jones, Lindsey White and Jaden Lawson. Nephews Landen and Addison Lawson. The younger ones will never remember their Uncle Danny.
Leaving behind his “last” Uncle Johnny White and wife, Marlene. Aunts, Marie Hurst and husband, Marvin, Jo Ann Akers and husband, Travis, Patricia Kanode, Nancy Armstrong and husband, David. Also survived by many cousins.
He was preceded in death by uncle Ralph and Sterling White, Chester and Roy Semones. Aunts Beatrice Arnold and Daphine Coffey. Paternal grandparents, Frank and Georgia White. Grandfathers, Tracy Semones and Bill Sullivan. Father-in-law, Everette Jones.
Danny worked at Huff Petroleum for many years. He had been self-employed for several years as a sheetrock finisher, texturer and all around handyman. He had many talents and did many jobs that will be around for a long time. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. As Danny would want, come as you are. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
