Butler, Woodrow Eugene

Woodrow Eugene “Gene” Butler, age 74 of Dublin passed away Sunday morning December 18, 2022 at the Galax Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 12, 1948 in Narrows, Virginia he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Butler & Louise Fleeman Butler.

Gene was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Radford BAE for 14 years, and 23 years for Southland Life.

He is survived by his

Wife – Brenda Dalton Butler – Dublin

Children – Teresa Paris – Dublin, Robin Greenawalt – Dublin, Kimberly Sheets & partner, Rhonda Bolton – Greensboro, NC

Grandchildren – Christopher (Stefanie) French, Amanda (Dylan) Parson, Amber (Joshua) Neuse,

Jeffrey (Kate) Meredith, Samantha Adams, Angelica Rothermel, MaKayla Bolton

Great Grandchildren – Jamison, Julian, Gavin, Madelyn, Grayson, Olivia and Scarlett

Memorial services will be held 12:30 PM – Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at the Jubilee Christian Church, Fairlawn with Pastor Gary Hash officiating. Entombment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin where he will receive full military honors.
