Harman, Walter Bradley
Walter Bradley Harman, 80, formerly of Radford, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Born in Buchanan, Va., he was a son of the late Elbert C. and Estelle Campbell Harman.
He graduated from Christiansburg High School in Virginia. Mr. Harman served in the Army in World War II in the Pacific Theatre, He was a life member of VFW and past Post Commander of Post 776. Mr. Harman retired after over 36 years at Hercules RAAP. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. Mr. Harman was a member of Grove United Methodist Church in Virginia.
Surviving are his wife, Jean S. Harman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Barbara Harman and Nick and Cathy Harman, all of Columbia; grandsons, Bryce Harman and Karl Harman; granddaughter, Bailey Harman; stepmother, Lillian Harman; stepsister, Charlene Massey; half sister, Judy Hobson, all of Statesville, N.C.; and an aunt, Imogene Brumfield of Christiansburg, Va.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home, 1200 Grove Avenue, Radford, 24141, with visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family locally. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grove United Methodist Church General Memorial Fund, 1020 Tyler Avenue, Radford, Va. 24141. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Pastor James Bennington of Grove United Methodist Church will officiate.
