Richardson, Roy Brown

Roy Brown Richardson, 94, of River Road in Pembroke, departed this life Sunday morning May 27, 2007 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Born in Ripplemead on March 5, 1913 he was a son of the late James F. and Marcella Peters Richardson. Roy was a veteran of the U. S. Army in WW II, earned his living as a carpenter and housebuilder, and owned and operated Richardsons Mobile Home Park in Pembroke.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Eppley. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Emory B. Richardson and Donald W. Richardson both of Roanoke; three daughters, Charlotte R. Ball of Roanoke, Lois R. Vaught of Collinsville, and Doris R. Poff of Goodview; eleven grandchildren; twentytwo great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Robert E. Richardson of San Francisco, Calif.; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Hines of Ferrum.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday May 30, 2007 at 2 p.m. in Birchlawn Abbey Chapel in Pearisburg.
