Plymire-Stovall, Beth

Beth Loretta Plymire-Stovall, 59, of Roanoke died on Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Boyd G. Plymire and Margaret M. Plymire. She was predeceased by her nephew, Kelly Ryan of Christiansburg, Va.

Mrs. Plymire-Stovall was employed by a local insurance company. Outside of work, she enjoyed walking, hiking, biking and camping. She loved animals and over her lifetime cared for numerous dogs and cats, including her most recent dog, Rocky. She enjoyed music. She studied cello in elementary school and performed bassoon in high school.

Mrs. Plymire-Stovall is survived by her son, Jonathan Maxwell “Max” Stovall of Roanoke, Va.; her sisters, Penna Rogers (Jerry L. Rogers) of Wakefield, Va., Gwynne Ryan of Christiansburg,Va., and Melinda Williams (Gary Cabell) of Radford; several nieces and nephews, a grandniece and many extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Oakey’s North Chapel with Dr. J. Michael Palmer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Angels of Assisi, a no-kill animal shelter in Roanoke, via mail at 415 Campbell Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016 or stop by the facility.
