Burnette, Jesse James

Jesse James Burnette, age 89 of 2915 Honaker Road, Draper passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center, Roanoke. Born September 20, 1917 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Charles Tonie Burnette and Mollie Peak Burnette.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Peterson Burnette; five sisters, and four brothers. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II where he received a Purple Heart. He was retired from the Civil Service in Aberdeen, Maryland.
