Farley, Raymond Mason

Raymond Mason Farley, 62, of Narrows departed this life Friday, May 18, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born in Newport on January 31, 1945 and was the son of the late Margie Farley. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Smith. Raymond loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Farley; two daughters, Karen and Wayne Mann of Pearisburg, Samantha and Roy Duncan of Narrows; three grandchildren, Kacey and Collin Mann, and Noah Duncan; one special brother, Billy and Frances Farley of Pearisburg; four sisters, Lillie and James Kessinger of Goldbond, Polly and Eugene Spicer of Narrows, Peggy and Don Law of Pearisburg, and Shirley and Chuck East of Narrows.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Eddy Jones, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fletcher Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
