Edward Earl (Pedro) Francis, Sr., 90, of Radford, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Friendship Health & Rehab Center in Roanoke.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Force. He was a member of the Radford Christian Church and retired from Kinco Products in Asheville, NC.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Julia Elizabeth Howell Francis of Radford; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward E. and Anita S. Francis of Shelby, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Robert K. Campbell of Christiansburg; five grandchildren, Christopher K. Campbell, Matthew K. Campbell, Angela Dawn Bloomfield, Scott Edward Francis and Wendi Marie Custer; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the Radford Christian Church with the Rev. Karl Hunter and the Rev. Joe Lindsoe officiating. Members of V.F.W. Post #776 will conduct full military rites. Immediately following the service the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.
