Dillard, Keith Lynal

Keith Lynal Dillard, 48, formerly of Goldsboro, N.C., departed this life in the peace of God at his home of 137 Dunbar Street, Dublin, Va. Keith was born May 13, 1958 at Johnson Air Force Base (near Tokyo, Japan).

He graduated from Goldsboro High School, Goldsboro, N.C., in 1976 and from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) in 1981, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. After graduation he became employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and later became employed with New River Energetics (Radford Army Ammunition Plant) in 1987.

Keith was the son of the late Master Sergeant Hampton A. Dillard, Sr., (Pete), USAF (Ret) and Ruby Haskins Dillard of Goldsboro, N.C. He is also preceded in death by his nephew, Hampton Alexander Dillard, III. He is survived by one sister, Lettye Clark of Goldsboro, N.C.; three brothers, Hampton A. Dillard, Jr. (Eleanor) of Durham, N.C., Michael (Jeanene) Dillard of Wichita, Kan. and Gregory Dillard of Goldsboro, N.C.; a special friend, Cathy Carter of Radford and children Shayla and Perry Carter; two special aunts, Patricia Dillard of Christiansburg and Shirley Dillard (Joe) Harris of Littleton, Colo.; maternal aunts and uncles, Olivia Finn, Elsie (Richard) Cox, Fred (Anne) Haskins and George (Ruth) Haskins, all of Richmond, Va. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church in Christiansburg. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Radford. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home (540) 345-9100-www.serenityfuneralhome.net.
