Gravley Sr., David Edward

David Edward Gravley, Sr., 64, of 2542 Old Baltimore Road, Draper, Va. died early Monday morning, May 7, 2007, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Wythe County on Oct. 21, 1942 and was the son of the late Preston A. Gravley and Roxie Ogle Gravley. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Edward (Eddie) Gravely, Jr. and by a brother, Ronnie Gravley.

Surviving are: his wife, Mary E. Gravley, Draper; daughter, Ann Gravley, Draper; son, Donnie Gravley, Draper; sisters & brother-in-law, Patricia (Darlene) & Jack Stanwitz, Dublin, Faye Gravley, Wytheville, Christine Peak, Hillsville; brothers & sisters-in-law, Thomas & Joyce Gravley, Wytheville, Leon & Beverly Ann Gravley, Draper, Jerry & Kathy Gravley, Pulaski, Clinton & Becky Gravley, Wytheville, Timothy Gravley, Draper; two grandsons and two granddaughters; sisters-in-law and spouses, Sandra & Roger Dickerson, Riner, Barbara & Fred Hall, Max Meadows; brother-in-law and spouse, Jimbo and Debbie Taylor, Draper.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Burial will follow in the Sanders Cemetery, Wythe County. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
