Davis, Clifford Hayward

Clifford Hayward (Chubby) Davis, 73, of Pulaski, died Monday, May 7, 2007 at his home. He was born in Pulaski County on August 7, 1933 and was the son of the late Fred Pierce Davis and Martha Elizabeth Lawson Davis.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Linkous. Surviving are his wife, Martha Susan Chrisley; daughters, Maria Ann Burton, Linda Gay Crowder, Breanda Lee Chrisley, Ella Mae and Scottie Bevil, Marsha Bernice Davis, JoAnn and Riley Furrow; son, Jack and Pat Davis; brothers and spouses, Gene and Jackie Davis, Garlin and Mary Ann Davis; 15 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and other family members and friends; one very special friend, Boot’s the cat.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Thursday after 4 p.m. at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
