Wendy Renee Siminski, age 46, died on Friday, March 4, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. With each diagnosis, she never stopped fighting and was determined to stay strong for her two beautiful girls, the loves of her life, Kira (age 13) and Ashley (age 12). Wendy lived her life to the fullest.

Wendy graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1994 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in 1998. She had an accomplished marketing career driving the mission of various organizations, with a heavy focus on the life sciences industry, serving in executive positions for the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and, most recently, for AdvaMed.

A marketing strategist, creative visionary, and outstanding mentor, Wendy knew how to motivate and inspire teams, cultivate talent, and positively influence those around her.

As poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The only way to have a friend is to be one” and a friend she was. Wendy considered her wide circle of friends and colleagues an extension of her family and she cherished each and every one. She would want us to remember and share the moments of joy she has given us in such abundance.

Above all, Wendy was a dedicated and proud mother. She raised her daughters to be compassionate, fearless, motivated, and confident. She taught them how to be good friends to others, to laugh often and be generous in spirit.

Besides her children, Wendy is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Ramona; her sister, Patty; brothers, Jeff and Jimmy Jr., several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, Wendy has requested donations be made to METAvivor which supports Metastatic Breast Cancer research.
