Guill, Melissa Roope

Melissa Roope Guill, 53 of Pulaski, VA departed this life suddenly January 3, 2022 in the care of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and her loving family. Melissa came to this world in Radford, VA on April 4, 1968.

Melissa was gracious in life as her favorite musician, Stevie Nicks pointed out, and that has won her the game indeed. She would start out as a stenographer near Washington, DC, having earned an Associates Degree. Later, she returned to Pulaski where she found love and married her sweetheart, David Guill. She is noted to be helpful and big hearted. In her spare time, she was artistic and enjoyed reading (especially period pieces, such as Outlander).

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her husband, David Guill; sons, Riley Guill (Elizabeth) of Pulaski, Patrick Guill (Heaven) of Wytheville, and Terry Guill of Pulaski; a brother, Kevin King; sisters, Diana Fain of Roanoke, and Mindy King; and her precious bundle of joy and first grandchild, who all will soon meet, Amaryllis Guill.

There will be a celebration of the life of Melissa held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
