Whetsel, Gloria Peak

Gloria Dawn Peak Whetsel, 79, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 6, 2014, exactly one year after her beloved husband, William Joe “Bill” Whetsel. Gloria was a graduate of Lynn View High School and East Tennessee State University. She worked at Holston Defense, and later after returning to Kingsport, Holston Valley Hospital. Gloria was an active member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and loved her church family dearly. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Teresa Stump and her husband, Jeff, of Pulaski, Virginia, and her grandchildren, Justin and Allie, also of Pulaski. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads United Methodist Church at a later date.
