Jones, Daniel Ralph

Daniel Ralph Jones, 65 of Dublin, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salem. He was born in Giles County on May 24, 1948, and was the son of the late Rosa Brewer Jones and John R. Jones. He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry in Radford as an alloy control operator and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Korea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Claudine Thornsberry Jones, a daughter, Latisha (Yoke) Harless, and three small infants. He is survived by six sons; Lawrence C. Jones and his wife Debbie of Dublin, Daniel A. Jones of Dublin, Chadwick D. Jones and his wife of Dublin, John C. Jones of Blacksburg, Homer E. Jones and wife Jessie Jones of Pulaski, and Jamison K. Jones of Snowville; six daughters; Demetria P. Jones of Dublin, Katreeka T. Jones of Pearisburg, Hazel Rosemae Thomas and her husband Michael S. of Christiansburg, Vivian A. Seaton and husband Kevin Seaton of Bristol, Vaundlene A. Martin and husband Justin Martin of Pulaski, Jutai A. Jones of Dublin; two brothers, Rex and Roger; three sisters; Mary Lee, Virginia, and Nancy. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Honoker officiating, followed by military honors. Interment will follow in the Payne Cemetery in Narrows.
