Radford, Helen Duncan

Helen Duncan Radford, age 93, of Blacksburg died Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on November 13, 1920 to the late Verlie Peck and Mirtha Elizabeth McPherson Duncan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Moir “Crickett” Radford; son, James D. Radford; brothers, Stanley Duncan, Randolph Duncan; sisters, Margaret Harris, Nelva Francisco. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah J. and Harry Stone of Wytheville; sister, Sylvia Webb; brother, Nelson Duncan; grandchildren, Frances Elizabeth Radford, Selena Linkous; great-grandchildren, Tristan Robert Gilvary, Bella Marie Donaldson Baker; many nieces, nephews and other family members. Special thanks for the loving care provided by Warm Hearth staff and Good Samaritan Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating.
