Davis, Frank H. (Jay)
Frank Harvey “Jay” Davis, 72, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on September 22, 1941 to the late Edward Ribble “Buck”, Sr. and Gillie Wanita Hughes Davis. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Tootsie Southern, Dorothy Dowdy, Willard Davis, and Alice Tiller. Jay was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in the Peace Keeping Forces in Korea. He was also an avid gardner and hunter. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Todd, Sr. and Kathy Davis, of Floyd, Jay P. “Gator” and Gena Davis, of Pilot; wife, Judith P. Davis, of Christiansburg; two grandsons, Michael T. Davis, Jr. and wife, Valerie, Christopher Scott Davis, all of Christiansburg; two great-grandchildren, Landon Chase Davis, and Christopher Levi Davis, both of Christiansburg; three brothers, Edward Ribble “Bill” Davis, of Blacksburg, Charles P. “Snake” Davis and wife, Gene, of Long Shop, Roy C. Davis, of Christiansburg; two sisters, Shirley Dove, of Blacksburg, Brenda Author, of Floyd; special brother-in-law, Jeff Powell of Pulaski; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Beaver Terry officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
