Gladys Virginia Spangler Humphreys, 94 of Blacksburg, VA passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Wheatland Hills Assisted Living, Christiansburg, VA. Born March 10, 1919 at Ballard, WV she was the daughter of the late Arch W., Sr. and Anna Beulah Conner Spangler. Mrs. Humphreys was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Humphreys in 2011 and three brothers, Thayer and Garvis Spangler and Arch Spangler, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Randall Humphreys of Pembroke, VA and Richard Humphreys and wife Judy of Blacksburg, VA, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 11:00, Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, VA. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the funeral home.
