Spencer, Sharon A. Pannell

piano-red-roseSharon Aileine Pannell Spencer, 61, of Fairlawn, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at her home. Sharon was born on February 7, 1952, to Robert Lee Pannell and the late Opal Aileine Pannell. She was a paraeducator for children with special needs in the Pulaski County School System. She was known far and wide for her musicianship-singing and playing the piano in churches throughout the area. She had a gifted ability to make any piano “dance.” She had a heart full of love, care, and compassion and was a dedicated mother and teacher. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vicky Lynn Pannell. Surviving is her husband of 19 years, Clifton Dale Spencer Sr.; two brothers and their wives, Charlie Lee Pannell (Pansy), of Pennsylvania and Randy Wayne Pannell (Tammy), of Radford; five sons, Samuel Dwayne Snyder (Jamie), of Roanoke, Steven Daniel Snyder (Beverly), of Vinton, Scott David Snyder (Kristina), of Radford, Robert Lee Kidd, of Florida, and Dale Spencer Jr. (fiance, Chasity), of Radford; and five grandchildren, Jessica Snyder, Christopher Hampton, Joshua Snyder, Hannah Snyder, and Cameron Snyder. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford on Tuesday November 12, 2013. Funeral services will be held directly following at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Loretta Boggs and Lee Sarver officiating. A graveside service will follow at Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
