SKEENS, Anna Lou
Anna Lou Skeens, 68, of Rich Creek, Va., passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born March 29, 1937 at Ballard, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Finley H. and Mabel Gearhart Spangler. Ms. Skeens was employed by Riverview Restaurant in Rich Creek, Va. and Johnstons Inn, in Princeton, W.Va. and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Rich Creek, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd, Paul, and Phillip. Survivors include, one daughter, Connie Alston and husband, Jim of Harrisburg, N.C.; two sons, Barry Skeens and wife, Mary Lou of Grayslake, Ill. and Brent Skeens and wife, Michelle of Rich Creek, Va.; one brother, Eugene Spangler and wife, Marie of Bristol, Tenn.; three grandchildren, James, Zachary, and Jacob, of Rich Creek, Va.; special friends, Betty Tompkins and Karen Fowler.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2006 at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, W.Va. with the Rev. Jim Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in Peterstown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, W.Va.
