Reynolds Jr., Robert Terry

Robert Terry (RJ) Reynolds Jr., 70, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Terry Reynolds and Gracie E. Reynolds; brother, John B. Reynolds; sister, Mary E. Green and nephew, Donald R. Turner Jr. RJ, as he was called by family and friends, graduated from Christiansburg Institute. He then moved to Washington, D.C. where he was employed by the Civil Service Commission for many years. He returned to Blacksburg, and worked at different positions before he retired. He is survived by his devoted wife, Reba Reynolds; sons, Robert Reynolds, Mario Reynolds (Lynn), Devon Blackmon; sisters, Rebecca Ford, Aldora Green, Patricia Berger, Barbara (Dr. Edward T.) Burton, Estelle (James M.) Hairston; stepchildren, Scherry Davidson (Renard), Clarence Wee, Wilma Cundiff; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and many other family and friends. A very special thanks to Dr. McCoy and the second floor nursing staff for their professional and caring care. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from noon to service time at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
