Akers, Diana Carol Harry

Diana Harry Akers, 43, of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born in Pearisburg on March 16, 1970, and was the daughter of Larry Wayne Harry and Reta Blankenship Kellison. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Pete and Annie Harry, of Waiteville, W.Va.; and maternal grandparents, Zelma and Kermit Blankenship, of Narrows. Diana was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, touching many hearts with her wonderful smile. She is survived by her parents, Reta Kellison, and Larry and Linda Harry, all of Narrows; a daughter, Casey Laws; a son, Andrew Harry; three grandchildren, Caden Laws, Dawson Dunford, and Raleigh Dunford; three sisters, Angela Frazier, Tammy Davis, and Chelle Mosley; two brothers, Chris Harry and Ryan Darr; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends. At Diana’s request, she was cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead with the Rev. Ward Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 3 p.m. until just prior to the service.
