Von Uchtrup, Eileen

Eileen Von Uchtrup, 80, of Pulaski County, wife, mother, grandmother, passed away peacefully at home Monday, September 2, 2013, and is now in the arms of the Lord. She was born in Overton County, Tenn., September 16, 1932, to Alonzo and Myrtle Bilbrey. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bob, her children, Christine Henderson and her husband, Mark, of Roanoke, Michael Von Uchtrup, and Peter Von Uchtrup and his wife, Manon; and Eileen’s grandchildren, Ashley Eileen, Tyler, Sabastian, Isabella and Peter John. She is also mourned by her many dear longtime friends and neighbors. Eileen loved being with her family and friends. Her sense of humor and love of life enriched all those who knew her. As was her wish, Eileen will be cremated. There will be a memorial service at St. Jude’s R.C. Church on Tyler Avenue in Radford 11 a.m. Friday, September 13. A catered reception will immediately follow at the church hall. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society .
