Harless, Jean Davis

Jean Davis Harless, age 84, of Blacksburg went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. She was born in Blacksburg, VA. on March 18, 1929 to the late Warren and Ocie Richards Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husband Richard Lee Harless. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Blount, of Blacksburg, Connie Burton, Bristow, VA., Peggy deJesus, Madison, Wis., sons, Roger Harless, of Blacksburg, Gary Harless, Myrtle Beach, SC., sister, Joyce Lang, of Shawsville, brothers and sister-in-law, Dexter and Alma Davis, of Floyd, Elton Davis, Shawsville, grandchildren, Roger Lee Harless, Jr., Michael Blount, Marcus Blount, Chris Goscha, Melanie Staub-deJesus, Melisa deJesus, great-grandchildren, Alexis Breeden, Abby Breeden, Isabella Staub-deJesus. She was loved by all of her children and her many, many “adopted” children. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John LeMasters officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
