Neal, Charity Nicole

Charity Nicole Neal, 26, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Charity was born on January 25, 1986. She was a true lover of life and was, as her mother described, a “fun loving kid.” She felt most at home when she was around the river-swimming, tubing, and adventuring. She loved dogs and her ever-faithful chihuahua, Shy-Shy, was always at her side. She was a 2005 graduate of Christiansburg High School. Neal is survived by her parents, Larry and Shelly Chafin; her stepmother, Missie Moore; two brothers, Shawn Neal and his fiance, Brandi Dunnagan, and Danny Chafin; a sister, Reanna Smith; a grandmother, Lou Neal; an aunt, Laura Eversole; a cousin, Michael Eversole; her special friend, Charlie Glass; and her two special “dads,” Gary White and Roger Smith, all of Christiansburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services that will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Justin Quesenberry officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help offset funeral costs. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, Va., 540-639-2422, is in charge of arrangements.
