Mann, Alice Meredith

Alice Meredith Mann, 85, of Dublin, departed this life Monday afternoon, August 5, 2013 at Skyline Nursing and Rahab Center in Floyd. Born at Goodwins Ferry in Giles County on October 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Allie Mae Caldwell Meredith was retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Dorothy Porterfield, Ruth Dalton, Thelma Broyles; and her brothers, Eugene and Buford Meredith; her stepmother, Frances Merrix Meredith; and her former husband and father of her children, Earl Dennis Mann. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, David Meredith Mann, of Carrollton, Ga.; her daughters, Patricia Gail Mann and her husband, James Griffin, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Pamela Sue and her husband, Jerry Wren, of Howard Lake, Minn.; her grandchildren, Joshua and Cody Wren; her brother, Billy Meredith, of Pembroke; and her sister, Clara and her husband, Billy Kinzie, of Newport. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
