Murdock, Richard Ambrose (Bucky)

Richard Ambrose (Bucky) Murdock, 68, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, at his home in Christiansburg. He was retired at the time of his death. He served in the United States Army and is a Vietnam War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorthy Murdock.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Jack Sarver, Parrott, Lynn Cook and Junior, Blackwater, Rochelle Murdock and Lonnie Linkous, Blacksburg, and Sonya Murdock and Benny Hagy, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Frances Stilwell, Justin, Brandon and Katie Hughes, Carrie Linkous, Tyler Hagy and Abigail Saunders; great-grandchild, Kiley Hughes; stepgrandchildren, Steven Dalton and Dustin Sarver; stepgreat-grandson, Kobie Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and David Buchannan, Radford; and numerous other family members and friends; also special friends, Chuck and Housel and Mike Saunders. A military graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013, in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
