Orange, Nancy Alderman

hummingbirdNancy Alderman Orange, 80, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Lewis Gale Hospital- Montgomery. She was born in Radford on October 16, 1932, to the late Harry Bruce and Velma Hartsock Alderman, and was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Andrew Orange; a daughter, Pamela Orange Rowe; a brother, Cpl. Marvin “Jim” Alderman; and a sister, Margie Turner.

Nancy retired from VPI & SU in 1997 with 20 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Orange Burton, of Blacksburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Linda Orange, of Blacksburg, Michael Orange, of Blacksburg, David and Sally Orange, of Christiansburg, Daniel and Susie Orange, of Christiansburg; brother-in-law, Ralph Turner, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Richard and wife, Mary Burton, Adam Burton, Michelle Rowe, P. J. Rowe, April Orange, Rebecca Newberry, Andy Orange, Bruce Orange, Shenna Orange, Susie Cox; eight great-grandchildren; niece, Donna Ann Alderman; and nephews, Ronald Turner and Danny Turner. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the the Rev. Jimmie Lee Price and the Rev. Wallace (Buck) Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
