Keller, Clara

keller clara“The Mermaid” Clara Keller, 19, of Radford, VA crossed over to the other side to be welcomed by departed friends and family on July 20, 2013. Clara was a student at New River Community College in the CAD program and a gifted and talented graphic artist. She was an active member of the NRV Metaphysical Chapel in Radford, VA and was convinced that “mermaids live among us.”

She had achieved her life’s dream by actively performing as a mermaid and was on her way to “mermaid greatness”. She loved animals, exploring the natural energies around her, and she was spiritually gifted. She was loved by all who met her and will be missed more than words can express. She is survived by her mother, Jessica Hays of Anchorage, AK, her father, Eric Keller of Taylor, MI, her grandparents, Hal and Vicki Brackett of Blacksburg, VA, her grandmother, Denali Morgan of AZ and grandfather, Robert Hays of Anchorage, AK and many other family and friends both here in the New River Valley and in the Wasilla/Anchorage area of Alaska. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 26 at 11a.m. at the NRV Metaphysical Chapel in Radford, VA. Clara said to “Have a rockin’ time.” In lieu of flowers please make donations to the CAD Scholarship Fund/CAD Foundation at NRCC. Arrangements by Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel.
