copeland shelby millironsShelby Jane Millirons Copeland, 72, of Narrows, died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 8, 2013. She was born in Narrows on December 6, 1940, to the late Muncy and Nina Millirons. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Copeland; a son, Earl Keaton “K.C.” Copeland; a grandson, Jeffrey Clendenin; her first husband, James D. Hamilton; and two brothers, John W. Millirons and Shular M. Millirons.

Left to cherish her memory are four children, Donna Thomas and husband, Zane, Cindy Parr and husband Bernard, Gwen Snow, and Nathan Copeland and wife, Laura; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Millirons and wife, Barbara; two sisters, Carrie Pauley and husband, Harmon, Emily Lambert and husband, Richard; many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her. Shelby was a faithful member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows. A unique woman that was devoted to her family, she provided them with a lot of laughs and love. She was a wonderful cook, providing many meals for family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed simple things such as a warm cup of coffee on her porch. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Millirons Cemetery in the Wolf Creek community near Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider either the American Cancer Society or Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church.
