Bryson, Gladys Pugh

Gladys Pugh Bryson, 89, of Dublin, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on June 28, 2013. Gladys was born August 19, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Bryson and her daughter Glenna Bryson. She was also preceded in death by sisters Marie, Eula, and Ellen, along with brothers, Lawrence and Royce and her mother and father.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son, Doug Bryson, of Dublin; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Ruth, of North Carolina, to cherish her spirit and memory; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gladys loved spending time reading her bible and praying to the Lord she loved so much. She also loved doing for others. She was an accomplished seamstress and crocheter, but her true love and talent was that of a knitter. She was always knitting something for someone. She took pride and worked hard to provide footies, scarfs and hats to the residents of local rehabilitation homes each and every year for Christmas. She loved to sit and talk about her dear sweet Jesus and the love he had for all things. She will be remembered as the best mother there ever was. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Stevens Funeral Home from noon until 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Virginia.
