Cumbee, Margaret Leigh

Margaret Leigh Cumbee, 73, of Blacksburg died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at her home. She was born in Giles County, Va. on March 23, 1934 to the late Arnold and Gladys Songer Cumbee.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Hutchison of Blacksburg; sons, Timothy Cumbee of Newport and Ricky Cumbee and fiance, Debra Chenoweth, of Blacksburg; sisters, Elsie Cumbee of Pembroke and Mary Dowdy of Newport; granddaughters, Tammy Cumbee of Pearisburg and Angelina Addison of Pembroke; nieces, Hazel Warsing of Crewe, Va., Louise Dowdy, Sylvia Stump, Lisa Vanhoozier, and Sandy Viars, all of Newport; nephews, David Cumbee and Bobbie Cumbee, both of Pembroke, and Harold Dowdy of Newport; special friends and family, Justin Chenoweth, Daniel Hutchison, Brandon Price, Cory Price, Carmen, Chris and David Cheney, Marge St. James, Linda Turpin, and all the employees at VPI D2.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating. Interment will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
