Robertson, Florence Lee McDaniel

Florence Lee McDaniel Robertson age 83 of Narrows, VA passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Lewis Gale – Montgomery Hospital, Blacksburg, VA. Born January 29, 1930 at Gauley Bridge, WV she was the daughter of the late Fleet Edward and Mona L. Meadows McDaniel. Florence was a member of the Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church at Narrows, VA and was retired from the Celanese Corp.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edward Smith and second husband, Raymond Lee Robertson Sr., her son, Edward Smith and four brothers, Howard, Doug, Tommy and infant Wilburn McDaniel. Survivors include: son, Joseph W. Smith; two stepsons, Gary W. Robertson and Raymond L. Robertson Jr.; stepdaughter, Cynthia R. Stewart; brothers, Leonard McDaniel of Narrows, VA, Raymond McDaniel of Narrows and Harold McDaniel all of Narrows, VA; three sisters, Dorothy M. Bell of Roanoke, VA, Sharon Faye Reynolds of Pearisburg, VA and Donna M. Milstead of Salem, VA; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Karnes Cemetery, Peterstown, WV. Friends may call from 9:00 AM until time of the services at the funeral home.
