Johnston, Bobbie Dickerson

Bobbie Dickerson Johnston, 80, of Blacksburg, died Monday, June 3, 2013 at her home. She was born in Floyd, VA on January 13, 1933 to the late Holice and India Lester Dickerson.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Hueston Johnston, a daughter Rita H. Johnston, and a son Ricky D. Johnston.

She is survived by her son, Michael Todd Johnston; her granddaughter, Katelin Sue Johnston; five sisters, Judy Dickerson, Emma Reed, Janice Doss, Thelma Haley, and Lynda Dickerson; a special friend, Trish Hager, that she thought of as a daughter.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Christiansburg Wesleyan Church, 525 Harkrader St., Christiansburg, with Dr. David Hurd officiating. There will be no gathering at the funeral home or at the residence.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Todd Johnston for Katelin’s school fund.
