wilburn troy leeTroy Lee Wilburn, 43, of Dublin, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013. He was born in Pearisburg on February 15, 1970, and was the son of the late Edward Lee (Pete) Wilburn Jr. and Betty Lou Steele Wilburn. A graduate of Narrows High School, Troy served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm and was a longtime member of both the Narrows and Dublin Fire Departments.

He was an avid Harley Davidson rider, and loved his family and dogs, Harley, Shelby, and Bandit. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Terri W. Wilburn of Dublin; a sister, Deborah L. Wilburn, of Narrows; a brother, Dewayne Wilburn and wife, Mitzi; two nieces, Jennifer Webb and Michelle Wagner; two nephews, Brandon Williams and Craig Wilburn; one great-nephew, Memphis Wagner; a special brother-in-law, Chris Williams; and father-in-law and mother- in-law, John L. and Edith Williams. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013, in the chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, with Military Honor Guard Rites conducted by local VFW and American Legion posts.
