havens annie butlerAnnie Lillian Butler Havens, 90, of Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Mrs. Havens was born on December 16, 1922, in Giles County and was a daughter of the late William Powell Butler and Carrie Kelley Butler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Stafford and Ruth Richardson; and three brothers, Harold C., William P., and Francis Butler. Mrs. Havens was a member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church, had baby sat over fifty local kids, and loved working in her flower garden. She is survived by her husband of over 69 years, William Andrew Havens; one brother, James F. Butler and wife, Mary, of Pearisburg; one sister, Monty Sowder, of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Gary Poff officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made Baptist Children’s Home in Salem.
