Gray, Sarah Hilburt

Sarah (Sally) Gray, 84, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013. She was born in Madison County, Ind. to Embury G. and Helen C. Hilburt. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Snead, of Jamestown, N.C.; her son, Michael Gray and wife, Sara, of Lake Lure, N.C.; her daughter, Nan Gray and husband, Eric Day of Newport; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary, Francis, and Ann, all living in Indiana. Sally enjoyed camping, sewing, upholstery work, knitting and cooking, a very talented mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Embury G. and Helen C. Hilburt; and her son, Steven H. Gray. In lieu of flowers, please remember Hospice of New River Valley. A special thanks to the staff at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Regional Hospital and Warmheart Retirement Community for their kindness and care during Sally’s brief illness.
