Weeks, Guy Edgar

Guy Edgar Weeks, 82, of Riner, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at English Meadow, Christiansburg. He was born in Russell County on August 30, 1930, to the late Dewey and Artie Kegley Weeks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Josephine Smith Weeks; sisters, Margie Roark, Frances Morrison, Leona Hughes; and brother, Willie Weeks. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Weeks; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda and Kurtz Howell, of Floyd and Jennifer Weeks, of Floyd; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Tammy Weeks, of Riner; grandchildren, Terri Burnette and husband, Darrell, Miranda Weeks; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Phillip, and Brady Burnette; stepdaughters, Brenda Goad and husband Darrell, of Hillsville, Patricia Christman and husband, Greg, of Quantico, Charlene Rudd and husband, Marty, of North Carolina; sister, Mary Musick, of Abingdon; brothers, Raymond Weeks and wife Delia, of Christiansburg, Bascomb Weeks and wife Frances, of Blacksburg; nephews, Buddy Morrison and family, John Weeks, Kevin Weeks and family; niece, Missy Weeks; numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Bishop, the Rev. Joe Cox and the Rev. Olen Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Family Cemetery, Norris Run. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
