Moore, Thomas Godwin

Thomas Godwin Moore, 86 years old, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Blacksburg, Va. He was born September 24, 1926, in Greenville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Iredell Moore and Nellie Williams Moore; his sister, Edna Moore Loftin; and by his first wife and mother of his children, Peggy Forest Moore. He is survived by his present wife, Carolyn Moore; his two children, Pamela Moore and Patricia Bodell (Steve); two grandchildren, Matthew Rochelle and Katherine Bodell Stowers (Josh); and one great-grandchild, Lucas Stowers. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at the Blacksburg Christian Church on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. There will also be a service and burial of his ashes in Greenville, N.C. The family wishes to thank the staff of Kroontje Health Care Center and Medi Homecare and Hospice for their loving care of Tom. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice .
