Stewart, Hazel Pearl Burgess

Hazel Pearl Burgess Stewart, age 88 of Dublin passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 in the Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski. Born December 15, 1924 in Baileysville, WV. , she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Burgess and Susan Justice Halcomb. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Ray Stewart; Sons, Benny Joe Stewart and Larry Stewart; Brothers, Edward Halcomb and Jay Halcomb; daughter-in-law, Kathy Stewart and son-in-law, Patrick Grygiel. She was a retired nurse and attended the New Life Church of the Nazarene, Pulaski. Surviving- Daughters- Patty Grygiel-Dublin, Susan Waggoner and husband, Robert-Pineville, WV., Sons- Wilburn Stewart and wife, Virginia-Dublin, Donald Stewart-Salisbury, N.C.,& Timothy Stewart and wife, Belinda- Winston Salem, N.C. Grandchildren- Diana Lynn Phillips, Deborah Louise Tabor, Timothy Ray Stewart, James Donald Stewart, and Michael Scott Britton. Great Grandchildren- Bradley Phillips, Andrew Phillips, Megan Stewart, Anna Paige Stewart, Travis Tabor, Jarred Tabor and Cody Stewart. Great Great Granddaughter- Taylor Phillips Sisters- Dorothy Crabtree-Tazewell,& Mary Kitts- Bluefield, VA. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11:00 A.M., March 18, 2013 in the New Life Church of the Nazarene, 45 South Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski with Pastor Desmond Barrett officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the Church. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the Stewart family.
