Miles, Kathleen McKinney

Kathleen McKinney Miles, 89, of Pulaski, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, in the Skilled Care Unit of Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski. She was born April 23, 1923 in Wise County, Va., the daughter of the late George Mason McKinney and Rebecca McFall McKinney. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Irvin Riley Miles. She worked as a nurses aid and attended Thornspring United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Shelia Miles; sons and spouses, Jack and Barbara Miles and Jeffrey and Hilda Miles; sisters, Freda Mabe, Jackie Winder, Connie Guill, Novella Hosaflook, Marcilla Lambert and Maxie Herion; brothers, Richard McKinney and George McKinney Jr.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; stepson and wife, James and Betty Miles; stepgrandchildren, Beverly and Susan; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Thornspring Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
